Detailed Description

Caprylic Acid Plus is formulated to combat the fungal infections such as thrush, otherwise known as chronic candidiasis. The most common species of yeast responsible for this condition is Candida albicans. Candida is kept in check in healthy persons; unfortunately, this opportunistic yeast can overpopulate and affect the skin, genitals, and digestive tract. This can often happen following the use of broad-spectrum antibiotics or from high blood-glucose levels common for those suffering from diabetes.

Caprylic acid is a naturally occurring short-chain fatty acid that kills off the Candida yeast by disintegrating its cell walls. Its antibacterial action is further strengthened by the antifungal properties of pau d’arco, cloves, and garlic extract.
