Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Marketing Manager position provides an exceptional opportunity to work with a premium quality brand in the growing natural health products market. You will be involved in product development, branding, and the execution of promotional campaigns. With the support of the marketing team, you will be developing marketing content, launching new products, supporting the sales force, and developing/sourcing materials and/or tools to support the brand.
· Crafting marketing content and messages to set NRH products apart from the competition (product descriptions, website copy, blog posts, videos, social media posts, etc
· Communicating the company vision
· Collaborating on new product launches and improvements to current product line
· Developing sales and promotional tools
· Researching industry trends, consumer behaviours, as well as competitor pricing, marketing content, and strategies
· Liaising with external agencies and partners
· Assisting with consumer publications / retail training materials
· Assisting with preparation for industry shows
· Adhering to budgets and working to increase profit potential
· Additional tasks and projects will be assigned as needs evolve
· Extremely creative with innovative thinking
· Excellent writing and communication skills, including copywriting, marketing, and sales texts
· Strong attention to detail
· Strong time-management, organizational, and follow-up skills
· Strong interpersonal skills, able to work within a team and work collaboratively with other departments / external partners
· Strong problem-solving abilities, with passion to understand customer needs and devise solutions
· Bilingual (perfect English, functional French or vice-versa)
· Good research and analytical skills
· Proficient with Microsoft Office suite with good presentation skills
· Experience in media purchasing an asset
· Knowledge of retail environment and operations—especially health food stores’—an asset
· Interest in natural health products an asset
· Experience with tools such as Google Analytics and WebTrends an asset
· Bachelor’s degree in marketing or communications (or similar degree)
· Three to five (3–5) years experience in similar position or in public relations or marketing communication
Please note: Although this position carries the title Marketing Manager, it does not involve any direct employee supervisory responsibilities
