- Nutrient-rich burdock root, a herb native to Northern Asia and Europe that was used for centuries in many ways, including as a diuretic
- Sheep sorrel, used as a diuretic to accelerate cleansing and renewal
- Red clover, often used for detoxification programs
- Pau d’arco, an added element which is critical for a formula that accelerates elimination, as the immune system can be vulnerable
- Watercress, gaining popularity due to its dense nutritional content
- Slippery elm bark, used by the First Nations as a remedy for common ailments
- Blessed thistle, a commonly used ingredient in combination formulas for gastric health
- Rhubarb, a good source of fibre
- An added touch of nutrient-rich kelp that completes New Roots Essence
The combination of all these traditional botanicals can be used as an alterative to help remove accumulated waste products via the kidneys, skin and mucus membranes.
Adults: Take 3 tablespoons in the morning and 4 tablespoons in the evening or as directed by your health-care practitioner. Optional: To reduce the alcohol content, add 4 ounces of boiling water and let sit for 5 minutes. Can also be mixed with orange juice or your favourite juice. For occasional use only.

Contains no: Gluten, soy, wheat, corn, eggs, dairy, yeast, citrus, preservatives, artificial flavour or colour, or starch.
Cautions and warnings: Consult a health-care practitioner prior to use if you have a medical condition or if you are taking any other medication. Discontinue use if abdominal pain, diarrhea, or vomiting occurs. Mild headaches, nausea, and flu-like symptoms may occur; in such cases, reduce initial dose to 1 tablespoon daily for the first week and gradually increase to the suggested adult dosage thereafter. Consult a health-care practitioner if symptoms persist or worsen. This product contains 25% of ethanol (alcohol), i.e. up to 11.8 g per dose, which is equivalent to about a 1.5 glass of wine, per 4 tablespoons. Consult with a health-care practitioner prior to use if you have an alcohol-related disease, liver disease, epilepsy, diabetes or hypertension. Consult a health-care practitioner prior to use if you are taking any other medications, as the amount of ethanol in this product may alter their effects. The amount of alcohol in this product may impair your ability to drive or use machines.
Contraindications: Do not use if you are pregnant or breast-feeding; are allergic to plants of the Asteraceae/Compositae/daisy/Polygonaceae/Brassicaceae family; are taking products containing diuretics; or have heart disease, high blood or low blood pressure, kidney or liver disorder, diabetes or edema (swelling of the hands, face, and feet). Do not exceed the recommended dose unless suggested by a health-care practitioner.
Known adverse reactions: Hypersensitivity/allergy is known to occur; in which case, discontinue use. Stop use and seek medical attention immediately in case of dizziness, confusion, muscle weakness or pain, abnormal heart beat, and/or difficulty breathing.
