New Roots Herbal is a Canadian leader in the manufacturing and marketing of high-quality natural health products. Founded in 1985, our new headquarters, state-of-the-art laboratory, and manufacturing plant are located in Vaudreuil-Dorion. With over 200 employees, we produce, market, and distribute more than 400 different natural health products in over 16 countries through 9,700 independent natural product stores. Thanks to our Chose to Care program, we have donated more than $2.1 million to foundations and charities that support the environment as well as families and children in need. As our company continues to grow, we are expanding our international development team. Under the responsibility of the Director of E-commerce and International Development, this position will be essential to support various international expansion strategies.


Tasks and Responsibilities

1.  Sales and Marketing Strategy:

    •   Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies tailored to the targeted international market.

    •   Collaborate with the management team to align business objectives with the company’s overall vision.

    •   Identify growth opportunities in targeted markets and formulate strategic plans.

2.  Market Development:

    •   Analyze market trends and evaluate competition.

    •   Identify potential new markets and develop strategic partnerships to foster growth.

    •   Adapt products and marketing strategies according to local needs.

3.  Customer Relationship Management:

    •   Establish and maintain strong relationships with key clients in the region.

    •   Respond to specific customer needs by providing tailored solutions.

    •   Oversee customer service to ensure client satisfaction and loyalty.

4.  Performance Analysis:

    •   Monitor and analyze sales and marketing performance, providing regular reports to management.

    •   Set up key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of initiatives.

5.  International Collaboration:

    •   Coordinate sales and marketing efforts with international teams.

    •   Ensure transparent communication between different regions and contribute to the company’s overall strategy.

6.  E-commerce:

    •   Support all key functions related to the management of existing and emerging e-commerce franchises, including:

    •   Identifying new e-commerce opportunities in line with the company’s market development strategies.

    •   Effectively manage advertising budgets to maximize conversion rates.

    •   Review and approve all new e-commerce brands and products, in accordance with approved marketing plans.

    •   Ensure that existing e-commerce platforms and marketplaces reflect the most recent positioning and objectives of the New Roots Herbal brand.

    •   Identify, in collaboration with international business partners, any new product category or trend, communicate them effectively to internal stakeholders, and recommend new products to the product development team.

    •   Manage meetings of the international e-commerce sales, marketing, and operations.

    •   Manage profit and loss by market.

    •   Keep up to date and communicate various sales performance reports to the organization.


Skills and Competencies

•   Bilingual English and French, additional advantage if you are fluent in Spanish (English and Spanish are necessary for internation markets)

•   The ideal candidate will be a team player with a strong work ethic, having initiative to push projects forward, creativity to overcome obstacles, and cultural sensitivity for successful international collaborations.


Education and Experience

•   Bachelor's degree in marketing or equivalent

•   International development of sales and marketing for international trade

•   E-commerce management and insight

•   Minimum of 5 years of combined sales, marketing and international business development experience, preferably in the life sciences industry.

•   Minimum of 2 years’ experience in E-commerce management

•   Prior experience in life sciences industry will be an asset, preferably in the natural health products


Work Schedule

•   Monday to Friday from 9h00 to 17h00

•   40 hours per week

•   Permanent and full-time position
