FAQ

Where can I find your products? You can use our store locator to find the nearest distributor.

Is your Coral Calcium obtained from live reefs? No, our Coral Calcium is sourced from no-longer-living reefs to avoid any ecological impact.

Are your products gluten-free? Gluten is a protein found in grass-related grains, notably wheat, rye, and barley. Products containing these may contain gluten. For details on any particular product, please consult the label or call customer service.

Are all your capsules vegetarian-friendly? Our Cloves product uses a gelatin capsule (as the cloves would melt the vegetable capsule). As well, our Femina Flora product uses a gelatin capsule. All other capsule products use a vegetable capsule derived from pine-tree cellulose.

Do you test your products for quality? A safe, effective, and consistent product is our first priority. All raw materials are tested for identity, purity, and potency. We surpass regulatory requirements and perform most tests three times to ensure quality. New Roots Herbal has invested heavily in its own research and development laboratory, which includes state-of-the-art analytical and testing equipment. Over 400 hours per week of testing are dedicated to product quality.

Are your products organic or wild-crafted? When possible we like to obtain organic or wild-crafted ingredients. Many of our products use wild-crafted materials. Unfortunately, although regulating bodies recognize gelatin capsules as organic, they do not recognize vegetable capsules as such.

Where do you get your raw materials from? The raw materials for the hundreds of products we offer, including our complex multi-ingredient formulas, are sourced worldwide. The bovine-sourced microcrystalline hydroxyapatite that’s featured in our Strong Bones is from the pristine pastures of New Zealand that have never had a case of bovine spongiform encephalopathy (“mad cow disease”). The Dong Quai that’s a key ingredient in many of our formulas is grown in the lush Chinese subcontinent. We source our USP (United States Pharmacopeia)–compliant coenzyme Q10 from the tech-savvy streets of Tokyo. The oregano oil for our Wild Oregano C93 is wild-crafted with sustainable harvesting methods at altitudes exceeding 1500 m in the mountainous regions of the Mediterranean. The emerging and vibrant continent of Africa furnishes the microclimate necessary for the harvest of Hoodia gordonii and an increasing number of naturally sourced herbal ingredients. The diverse landscape of the Americas is home to Dandelion in the north and Pau D’Arco in the south, among many other natural ingredients.

All of our raw materials, regardless of their country of origin, undergo the same rigorous battery of tests to confirm identity and measure potency, as well as to ensure they are free from contaminants such as heavy metals, pesticides, and solvent residue.
