S-Acetyl-glutathione is a potent intracellular antioxidant which works within cells to protect them from free radicals. It defends against free radicals produced within the mitochondria (power plants) of cells. Consider free radicals as exhaust released when cells generate energy; S-Acetyl-glutathione detoxifies these free radicals to protect cells.
